Product Information
LOBO PANKO, TEMPURA 200G
Tempura is the generic term for deep-fried foods in Asian cuisine. Just like in our latitudes, in Asia, foods are coated in batter and then cooked in boiling oil. However, there are differences, especially in the batter coating, or breading, as can be quickly seen in this product: the breadcrumbs for Japanese tempura.
Panko is a Japanese variation of tempura. The latter consists primarily of flour, egg, and water, while panko is made from white bread. Before processing, however, the crust is removed from the white bread, which is then grated into small flakes, which then need to be dried. All of these steps can be eliminated with our product, as our breadcrumbs for Japanese tempura are delivered to you already in flake form.
As with classic tempura, meat, fish, or vegetables are coated in breadcrumbs. This creates well-known dishes like korokke or tonkatsu, which are beautifully crispy thanks to their panko coating, even crispier than with tempura and even crispier than with the breadcrumbs commonly used in this country.
